If an item is not listed on your website can I still order it?

In most cases yes.  We source music from publishers from around the world so will hopefully be able to find any work for you.  If an item is not listed on our website please contact our customer service team  who will be happy to look into it for you.

Can I order a score only or separate parts?

In most cases you can order a separate score or single parts.  Please contact our customer service team to obtain availability and price.

Can I view an item before I purchase it?

Many of our items have sample score and/or sound files on the website.  If there is something that does not we are happy to send a score on approval, which will need to be returned (at your expense) if you decide not to purchase the piece. We can send a maximum of six approval scores at any one time.

I want to browse your music in person. Where can I do this?

R Smith & Company regularly attends brass band contests usually in association with the World of Brass trade stand. If there is a particular contest you are attending please contact us to check we will be going.   If you want us to bring a particular item for you, please contact us about a two week before the event so we can bring that item for you.   You can also visit us at our showroom in Wellingborough (England) but please contact us first to make an appointment.

What happens if I've ordered the wrong item?

If your order has been posted to you it should have a returns form in the packet or box.   Please check you are entitled to return the item and then follow the instructions on the form.  If in doubt please contact our customer service team who will guide you through our returns process.

How can I pay for my order?

We can accept payment by cards (Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard and Mastercard Debit). If you would like to pay for your order by cheque, please contact our customer service team who will advise on total cost and what information needs to be included when sending the cheque.

Who processes my order?

Your order will be processed by R Smith & Company/Salvationist Publishing & Supplies (SP&S), 66-78 Denington Road, Wellingborough, Northants, NN8 2QH (a division of Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd). The company registration number is 2605817 and the VAT Registration number is GB 577 8166 86. This is what will appear on your bank statement.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We aim to deliver within UK orders 7 days of receipt of order, but please allow 14 days before querying non-delivery.  Overseas orders may take longer to deliver depending on the method of sending

Is the price shown inclusive of VAT?

The majority of our products are VAT free, but should an item be VAT eligible then the price shown will be inclusive of all applicable tax charges.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A £10 fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please request our application form.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
